A specter is haunting the modern world.

The specter of rigid frameworks. Cooperating across complex structures has never been easy - and for good reason. No two situations look alike. Hierarchies are convoluted, people are intricate, and things rarely go according to plan. Modern project management and product development tooling only reinforces this, as it aligns itself with the traditional flow of any modern organisation: information travels up; decisions trickle down; and along the way, all nuance is shaved off, until what remains is a single best guess at the original packet of information. Alice whispers a secret to Bob; Bob whispers this secret to Malroy; Malroy whispers this secret back to Alice, and lo and behold: Alice can barely recognize her own words.

As it turns out, this situation echoes at any scale, be it a freelancer communicating with three clients, or a manager attempting to understand the state of twelve projects, five other managers and eighteen developers. After many a careful study of this problem, we came to conclude that it is two-fold: language is fragile; and context is perishable. The advent of advanced and capable large language models has paved the way for new approaches to the difficulties of language. We're exploring new territory here, and thus tread carefully. The problem of context is more manageable, as humanity as a whole has been tackling this for, in all likelihood, as long as we've cooperated on even the simplest tasks. As far as project tracking, management and intel goes, these lessons have yet to be integrated in a way that doesn't either force workers to change their way of approaching a problem, or leave leadership holding nothing but a whittled down report that may or may not have any semblance to the events of the real world.

And as such, Balladic was born. This is our shot at creating a single, shared base of information, abstracted at every level. The craftsman gets texture, the team lead gets shape and the business layer gets direction. Nothing is lost in transit, and everything is available to everyone, all the time. Synced, tracked and organized behind the scenes, leaving simple interfaces that get out of the way, and shape themselves to the work as it happens (rather than chopping everyone else into squares that fit the opinions of Balladic's scrum master).

Information is already fluid in its purest form; all it needs is channels and abstractions to flow across boundaries, hierarchies, contexts, language barriers, nerd culture and everything in between.

We're not here to replace human contact. We're here to strengthen it.
